Nurturing the Next Generation of Leaders

To address the complex problems of today, we believe in fostering a generation of youth who are fearless to take on challenges with a creative and positive mind. The classroom training for MPP students involves both traditional modes of lectures and applied learning through workshops, field visits, internships, exchange programs, summer school and a wide range of unique collaboration with academic experts, policy makers and practitioners. The students are also encouraged to involve in a participatory mode of learning through debates, discussions, presentations and group projects.

Engage with Us

Our bright and vibrant cohort of graduate students are keen to engage in real world policy making. Embedded in the values of collaboration and participation, our students are equipped with analytical skills and critical thinking. They are trained to engage in all levels of policy from design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Our students have acquired skills in policy memo writing, preparation of policy briefs, desk and field research with advanced knowledge in research methodology, case preparation, data analysis, policy design and evaluation through training and on the job internships with select organisations. Besides, they have been exposed to managing negotiation and case presentation.

Host an Intern

The internships are a good way to get acquainted with our students. We prepare our students for internships from six weeks to three months in both the years of the graduate program. Hosting an intern might bring in a long term collaboration with our School since many of our graduates may be keen to continue the learning experience by following up with their career at your organization. It is also an opportunity to assess the skills of our bright students while our graduates receive a valuable chance to immerse in real world policy situations.

The broad interests of our students mean that they are looking for a wide variety of opportunities in diverse fields, from social policy to economics and agriculture to international affairs. The previous internship avenues have included governmental organizations, NGOs, inter governmental institutions, research organizations, policy think tanks, academic institutions and corporations.
