Fieldwork is an essential component of Public Policy pedagogy. NLSIU policy graduates bridge the division between policy maker and policy scholar through this grounded field experience when ‘wicked problems’ are tackled. After the first trimester the participants spend three weeks in a community facilitated by grassroots organizations. This field work will be carried out in groups of 2/3 participants to develop hands-on understanding on social and political institutions that facilitate or hinder policy efficacy. This component is assessed for four credits.
